TWebTextAreaInput is the base class for Web items that create HTML multi-line text controls.

Description

Use TWebTextAreaInput as a base class for components that generate HTML controls for displaying a field or parameter value in a multi-line text control. TWebTextAreaInput descendants generate controls that are organized by TDataGrid, TFieldGroup, or TQueryFieldGroup. 

TWebTextAreaInput defines or inherits properties and methods for  

Specifying a field or parameter whose value the control displays. 

Generating a caption that describes the information displayed. 

Customizing the appearance of the control that displays information. 

Fitting the control into the tab order of the generated HTML form. 

Fitting the component into a hierarchy of Web items that collectively generate the content of an HTML document. 

In order to let other Web items to use the HTML control it generates, TWebTextAreaInput inherits the IWebContent interface from TWebDataDisplay. 

Do not create instances of TWebTextAreaInput. Instead, use a descendant of TWebTextAreaInput such as TFieldTextArea, TQueryTextArea, or TTextAreaColumn.
