Licensing Your Embarcadero Technologies Product

All Embarcadero Technologies products include a 14-day trial period. To continue using the product without interruption, we recommend that you license it as soon as possible. See the steps outlined below to license DB Performance Center. If you have not yet purchased your Embarcadero Technologies product, contact sales@embarcadero.com, or uk.sales@embarcadero.com and salesaustralia@embarcadero.com for sales in the EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions, respectively.

Licensing DB Performance Center

To license the product, take the following steps:
  1. You can install the DB Performance Center Server and Client or only install the DB Performance Center Client using the MSI installation.
  2. During installation of the DB Performance Center Server, you will be prompted to register a valid serial number.
NOTE: To register DB Performance Center, you need a valid serial number and an active Embarcadero Developer Network (EDN) account. This also applies to the Trial version of DB Performance Center.
  3. Enter the Serial Number and the EDN account number into the correct fields in the DB Performance Center Server Registration dialog and click Register.
  4. If you purchased a DB Performance Center Server license with 50 datasource registrations, you will be able to launch the client from the final page of the installer (or from the start menu at Start > Programs > Embarcadero DB Performance Center 2.7.3 > Performance Center) and begin working with DB Performance Center.
  5. If you have purchased a datasource registration add-on, you must register it separately in the License Manager:
    1. From the DB Performance Center client (running on the same machine as the server), open the About... dialog from the Help menu.
    2. From the Embarcadero Product License Manager dialog select Serial and then click Add to enter the valid serial number for the data source add-on. The newly added serial number is listed on the Unregistered Serial Numbers node.
    3. Expand the Unregistered Numbers node, right-click on the newly entered serial number, and select Register.
    4. The Embarcadero Product Registration dialog appears. Enter the correct DN account to register the serial number for the server.
